STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 23, 1901 JOHN S. TARR, 11 Jan 1829 - 20 Jan 1901 John S. Tarr was born in Crawford county, Ohio, Jan. 11, 1829, and died at his home in Angola, Ind., Jan. 20th, 1901, aged 72 years and 9 days. He enlisted in Co. F, 21st Ohio Infantry, and served to the close of the war. Mr. Tarr was an honest man and respected by all who knew him. Funeral services were conducted by the G. A. R., the sermon being preached by Rev. Gandy. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: John S. Tarr, 1864 - 1903. Hattie A. (Tarr) Orewiler, 1866 - 1955, married Adam Orewiler, 1859 - 1939. Millie M. (Tarr) Day, 1873 - 1960, married Ora Day, 1874 - 1946, son of James W. And Mary Catherine (Berlien) Day. Zella (Tarr) Berlien, 1876 - 1909, 1st wife of Perry Berlien, 1873 - 1959. John, Sophie, and all their children and spouses are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana, with the exception of Zella and Perry Berlien who are buried at South Scott Cemetery, Steuben County, Ind.
