STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, MAY 18, 1904, page 1, column 5 AARON F. TAYLOR, 17 Jul 1828 - 15 May 1904 Aaron F. Taylor was born in Marion county, Ohio, July 17, 1828, and departed this life Sunday, May 15, 1904, aged 75 years, 11 months and 28 days. When a small child he came with his parents to Steuben county and lived here until 1885, when he moved to Akron, Ind., where he resided twelve years and then moved to DeKalb county. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elmer Beebe, 2« miles south of Angola. He was married to Amanda Shoemaker, Dec. 1, 1850, and to the union were born four children, three sons and a daughter, those surviving him being John Taylor, of Hamilton; Orilla Beebe, of Angola; and Roy Taylor, of Akron, Ind. The wife died Oct. 11, 1884. He was again married March 26, 1885, to Rachel Widman, whom he leaves to mourn the loss of his companionship. Funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev. Coverstone, of tge U. B. Church at Pleasant Lake. Burial at Circle Hill. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Aaron F. Amanda was the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Myers) Shoemaker. Aaron married 2nd, Rachel (Widman) Taylor, no further information. Aaron was the son of Ansel Taylor, 12 Oct 1795 - 25 Oct 1874, and Elizabeth/Betsey (Sears) Taylor, 29 Jan 1790 - 05 Aug 1864. There are discrepancies in dates in www.familysearch.org. Ansel and Elizabeth are buried at Old Angola Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana. CHILDREN: John W. Taylor, 1853 - 1920, buried at Circle Hill Cemetery. Orilla (Amelia-license) (Taylor) Beebe, 1861, on 25 Dec 1884, married Martin Elmer Beebe. No date of death or place of burial. Roy /Villroy Taylor, 1864, no date of death or place of burial. Jay Taylor, 12 Dec 1867 - 12 Apr 1902, buried at Circle Hill Cemetery in an unmarked grave per the Cem.
