STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, 02 DEC 1885, p.1, c.1 AMY (YARNS) THOMPSON, 06 Apr 1810 - 28 Nov 1885 Mrs. Amy Thompson died last Thursday at the residence of her daughter, Vina Miller, in Salem township, and was buried here Friday, Rev. Ransburg, officiating. She was born in Luzerne county, PA., and was married to Mr. Thompson in 1827. She was the mother of sixteen children, ten of whom are living. She removed to this county over forty years ago where she has lived ever since. Her husband died about twelve years ago. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Note: Amy's middle name was Ann. Amy Ana (Yarns) Thompson, was born 06 Apr 1810, Susquehanna County, PA; died 28 Nov 1885, married Daniel Thompson, 22 Feb 1809 - 29 Mar 1874. They are buried at Pleasant Lake Cemetery, Steuben County, IN. Amy was the daughter of Nathan Yarns Sr. and Jane (Lowry) Yarns. Daniel was the son of John Thompson born in 1770, died in 1867. SOME CHILDREN OF THE MARRIAGE OF AMMY ANA AND DANIEL: William Thompson, born in 1846, died 13 Apr 1902. In 1868 he married Elizabeth (Miller) Thompson. They had at least 4 children. In 1875, he married Clarrisa (Miller) Thompson. They had at least 8 children. In 1895 he married Eliza Jane (Gaskell) Card Thompson. They had at least 1 child. At the time of the 1880 United States Census, Pleasant Lake, Steuben County, IN, Amy Ana was living in the home of her daughter, Lavina (Thompson) Miller and her son-in-law, Henry F.
