SYLVIA A. (DUNHAM) THOMPSON/THOMSON, 02 Mar 1837 - 20 Mar 1902

   Mrs. Sylva Thompson died at her home here last Thursday morning, March 
20, 1902, aged 75 years.  Funeral in the Baptist church Sunday, at 2 
o'clock.  Rev. Preston, of Ontario, officiating minister; burial in the 
old cemetery beside her husband, Wm. Thompson, who died three years ago.  
Mrs. Thompson was a quiet, unassuming womanly woman, a kind neighbor, and 
a good true friend.  When He cometh, such as Mrs. Thompson will be found 
among "His jewels, precious jewels."

   Sylvia A. (Dunham) Thomson, 02 Mar 1827 - 20 Mar 1902, was the daughter 
of William Dunham Jr, who died 10 Dec 1840 in his 51st year, and Ann D. 
(Skinner) Dunham, 22 Apr 1800 - 05 Jul 1871.  In 1846 she married William 
W. Thompson, 01 May 1820 - 10 Jul 1899, the son of Orpheus Thomson, who 
died 11 Mar 1863, aged 67 years, 10 months and 11 days, and Rebecca 
(Eaton) Thomson, whose dates are broken off her tombstone.  They are all 
buried at Memorial Grove Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.

William W. as being born in VT and Sylvia, listed as age 53, being born in 
NY but lists Frank Thomson, age 18, a son, being born in MI and his 
parents both born in MI.

   A granddaughter, Delia S. (Thomson) 28 Sep 1886 - 18 Feb 1984, married 
Barton Ray Golden, 05 Feb 1886 - 10 May 1962.  They are buried at Flint 
Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.  Delia is the daughter of Frank and Zoa 
(Dye) Thomson.
