"Adam Tritch, son of Fredrick and Margret Tritch, was born near Mt. Eaton,
Wayne county, Ohio, on April 7, 1857, and died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. George Erwin, near Hudson, Ind., at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 3
days.
On October 30, 1880, he was united in marriage to Mary Shade.  To this
union were born eight children, viz., Mrs. George Erwin, with whom he resided
at the time of his death; Mrs. Arthur Hoyer, Mrs. Marl Shumaker, Ray and
Carl, all of Steuben county, Ind., and Eshu, of near Peru, Ind.; Jessie, who
died in infancy, and Edna, who died at the age of eighteen.  He leaves to
mourn his going beside the widow, six children, 35 grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.  Two brothers, William, of Kendallville, and John, of Salem
Center, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Tritch spent almost his entire life in Steuben county, where he gained
the respect of all who knew him by his integrity and industry, and will be
greatly missed by both family and friends.  Funeral services were held at the
home of George Erwin, with interment in Circle Hill cemetery.
Rev. Humfreys, whom Mr. Tritch greatly admired, spoke the beautiful and
comforting funeral service.
