LAURA ANN SCOVILLE TWICHELL, 03 May 1843 -23 Nov 1899

   Laura A. Scoville Twichell, daughter of S. W. and Rosamond 
Scoville, was born May 3rd, 1843, at the pioneer home in Richland 
township.  When she was thirteen years old they moved to Angola and 
remained four years then returning to their former home.  She was 
united in marriage to George Twichell Dec. 21, 1865, and came to her 
home on Jackson Prairie where she has ever since lived.  At eighteen 
she became a Christian and later united with the Congregational 
church at Orland.  Of the brothers and sisters, James Scoville is in 
Spring City, Tenn., Cornelia A. ____, in Portland, Oregon, Ella M. 
Cheney, in Alvarado, Ind., and Chas. F. Scoville, in Auburn, Ind.  
She leaves a husband and four children, Mrs. Carra Lewis,of Orland, 
Clyde, Cora and Bertha in the home.  After a year's patient 
suffering God took her home Nov. 23, 1899.

   Funeral services were held at the home Sunday at eleven o'clock, 
Rev. Harding officiating.  The remains were tenderly laid to rest 
under a favorite apple tree near her late home.

   Laura Ann (Scoville) Twichell, 03 May 1843 - 23 Nov 1899, was the 
daughter of Samauel W. Scoville, 10 Jul 1815 - 22 May 1891, and 
Rosamund M. (Thompson) Scoville, 27 Dec 1817 - 14 Apr 1892.  Her 
parents are buried at Bethel Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.  
Laura married George Warren Twichell, 21 Apr 1840 - 04 Jul 1911, son 
of pioneer settlers, Benjamin S. Twichell, 04 Jul 1806 - 05 Aug 
1868, and Sabra (Rodgers) Twichell, 08 May 1806 - 05 May 1874.

   Clyde Scott Twichell, 09 Jun 1867 - 15 Apr 1952, married 1st, Ina 
Imogene (Michael) Twichell, 1875 - 1952, buried at Fremont Cemetery, 
Steuben County, Indiana.  His 2nd wife was Zella (Garlets) Twichell, 
23 Jan 1887 - 26 Feb 1967.

   Anna Carra (Twichell) Lewis, 22 Sep 1869 - 19 Nov 1949, married 
Frank Fuller Lewis, 29 Aug 1869 - 16 Jan 1943.

   All are buried at Jackson Prairie Cemetery, Steuben County, 
Indiana, except where otherwise noted.
