URAN, 10 Feb 1829 - 15 Oct 1902 NOAH URAN The subject of the above sketch was born in Adams county, Penn., Feb. 10, 1829, and died at his home in Otsego township, Steuben county, Indiana, Oct. 15, 1902, aged 73 years, 8 months and 5 days. At the age of ten years he came with his parents to Alliance, Ohio, where he lived until 1865. On Jan. 15, 1858, he was joined in marriage with Miss Sarah Ann Sharp, and to the union were born two girls and five boys. One son, John, the eldest, was hurt in a railroad wreck at Lima, Ohio, and died from the effects March 7, 1895, leaving a wife and six children to mourn his untimely death. In 1865, he moved with his family to Steuben county, Indiana, where he resided until death. Deceased was a genial gentleman, honest in his dealings with his fellowmen and highly respected by all who knew him. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and although he made no public profession, he had a profound reverence for Christ. His memory will be cherished by relatives and friends. To his wife, he gave all his real and personal property to have and hold during her natural life. Subject to the above life estate he gives to his two sons, George and Noah, the fee simple of all his real estate, and to his other children, Charles, Franklin, Mary Schmeiser, Ida Bash and the children of his deceased son John, all his personal property, the aforesaid grandchildren together to take as one of his children. Mrs. Uran, the widow, is named as executrix of his will. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Noah M. Franklin Uran, born about 1865 in Alliance, Stark County, Ohio. Ida May (Uran) Grey Bash Zongker, Jun 1865 - 12 Aug 1932, married 1st, ________ Grey; on 14 Jan 1889, she married 2nd, Lyman Nelson Bash, Jun 1865 - 01 Jan 1904; married 3rd, Jessie J. Zongker, 1870 - 1940. Ida May and Jessie are buried at O-HUD Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. George W. Uran, born about 1872 in Otsego Township, Steuen County, Indiana, on 26 Nov 1898, married Mary A. (Jackman) Uran. Noah Hurburt Uran, Jul 1878 - 1961, married Fannie M. (_____) Uran, 1881 - 1969, they are buried at South Scott Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
