        Amanda Vail was born in New York, May 25,1838, and died at her 
home in Orland, October 31, 1904, aged 66 years, 5 months and 5 days.  
She was married to Marcellus  Vail, October 22, 1865, and to them was 
born two daughters and one son.  Six grandchildren also are left, with 
the husband, to mourn the loss of wife and mother.  The funeral took 
place last Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the M.E. Church and the 
burial in Green Lawn Cemetery, Rev. Polhemus officiating.  Mrs. Vail's 
two brothers, Wm. and C. Underhill, of Coldwater, and cousins, Charles 
Johnson, wife and mother, of Angola, attended the funeral.
