Steuben-Republican 27 March 1907

        Charles Van Wormer was born in Erie County, Pennsylvania, July 
12, 1833, and died at the home of his daughter in Fort Wayne March 23, 
1907, aged 73 years 8 months and 11 days.
        In 1844, he came with his parents at the age of eleven to 
Steuben County settling on a farm northwest of Angola, where he resided 
until about 30 years ago, when he moved to Auburn and thence to Fort 
Wayne.
        On January 12,1857, he was united in marriage with Eliza Webb 
and to the union were born four children, two of whom with the wife 
survive him. As a mechanic, Mr. Van Wormer was above the average in 
ability. 
        Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 26th in the Christian 
Church in Angola, Elder Vernon Stauffer was officiating.
