JACOB WALLER, 09 Feb 1821 - 11 May 1901

   Jacob Waller was born in Morgan county, Ohio, Feb. 9, 1821, and 
died at his home in Scott township, Steuben county, Indiana, May 11, 
1901, aged 81 (s/b 80) years, 3 months and 2 days.
   He was united in marriage to Rhoda Tro(w)bridge, December 31, 
1841.  To this union were born eleven children, four sons and seven 
daughters, two sons and three daughters surviving him.  He lived in 
DeKalb county until 1843 (or 1848) and then with his wife moved to 
Steuben county where they have lived until his death.  He united 
with the Christian church in 1870 and remained a true christian 
until his death.  He was a kind husband and father and a kind and 
obliging neighbor.  He leaves a wife, two sons, three daughters, 
sixteen grandchildren, six great-grand children, two brothers, one 
sister and a host of friends to mourn their loss.  The funeral 
services were conducted by Elder J. H. Ladd at the South Scott 
church and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery near by.

   Jacob Waller, 09 Feb 1821 - 11 May 1901, married Rhoda (Trowbridge) 
Waller, 18 Apr 1824 - 07 Dec 1904, daughter of Caleb Trowbridge and one of 
his two wives, Abigail or Polly Congdon, twins.  Jacob was the son of 
David Waller who died 21 Apr 1850, aged 65 years, and Elizabeth 
(Jordan) Waller, born about 1802 - 03 Aug 1886(?), aged 84 years, 7 
months and 22 days, daughter of Jacob and Mary Ann (Shriver) Jordan.  
David and Elizabeth Waller are buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 
Steuben County, Indiana.  Jacob and Rhoda Waller are buried at South 
Scott Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. 

   Emma J. (Waller) Sutton, 01 Jan 1859 - 30 Mar 1912, on 27 Aug 
1876, married Roswell Sutton, 27 Apr 1854 - 10 Jan 1930.
   Jacob Waller, 07 Jan 1865 - 27 Jul 1871, buried at South Scott 
Cemetery.
POSSIBLE OTHER CHILDREN:
   Louisa (Waller) Carson, 1848 - 1923, married John Carson, 1839 - 
1923.  They are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery.
   John Waller, 1856 - 1930, on 27 Sep 1877, married Alta Jane 
(Robinette) Waller, 1860 -1923.  They are buried at South Scott 
Cemetery. 
   Andrew Waller, 1861 - 1942, married Arabelle Nichols, 1864 - 
1938.  The are buried at South Scott Cemetery.
   Dora (Waller) Harman, 31 May 1867 - 05 Jul 1885, on 28 Feb 1884 
married Levi A. Harman, 22 Oct 1862 - _______(died in California).  
Dora is buried at South Scott Cemetery.

Brother:  Garrett Waller, 14 Jul 1824 - 01 Jan 1907, married Jane 
(Sinkey) Waller, 19 May 1827 - 31 Aug 1906, daughter of Richard and 
Helen (Wheeler) Sinkey.  They are buried at Mt.
