WILLIAM CHARLES WEICHT, M.D., 15 Apr 1822 - 04 Nov 1889

   DIED at his home in Angola, Indiana, Nov. 4th, 1889, Dr. William 
C. Weicht, aged 67 years, 6 months and 20 days.
   William C. Weicht was born in Emendinger, Baden, Germany, April 
15th, 1822.   He came with his father's family to the United States 
in September, 1832, he then being a little over ten years of age.  
The family resided in New York City for three years, when they 
moved to Indiana, locating in Salem township, this county, where 
the subject of this sketch was married to Miss Elizabeth Newbaur 
(sic), July 24th, 1845.  Six children were born to them, only two 
of whom and his wife survive him.
   For many years he has practiced medicine in this community, 
winning the confidence of his patrons.  He will be much and 
painfully missed in his wonted circle.  Another old citizen's place 
is vacant--another husband and father is no more seen in the circle 
of his home--another soul has crossed over the boundary line 
separating the seen from the unseen.  His family have the sincere 
sympathy of their friends in the hour of their bereavement.

Elizabeth N. (Neubauer) Weicht, 22 Sep 1822 - 04 Nov 1894, daughter 
of Francis and Anna Maria (Simon) Neubauer.  William and Elizabeth 
are buried at Old Angola Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.  
William is the son of Dr. Lewis Frederick/Frederick Lewis Weicht 
who died 31 May 1857, aged 66 years, 3 months and 27 days, and 
Fredericka (Eckhart) Weicht, who died 01 Apr 1857, aged 64 years.  
They are buried at Old Angola Cemetery.

   Frederick Lafayette Weicht, 23 Jun 1846 - 01 Oct 1847 (1857 per 
City of the Dead), buried at Old Angola Cemetery.
   Sophia Louisa Weicht, 28 Feb 1848 - 04 Dec 1849, buried at Old 
Angola Cemetery.
   Salena Mary (Weicht) Butler, 19 Oct 1850 - 01 Sep 1910, on 31 
Mar 1881, married Joseph Butler, 24 Jul 1846 - 02 Jul 1924, son of 
Justus Butler, 02 Jul 1892 - 01 Mar 1853, and Anna (Clark) Butler, 
06 Aug 1812 - 10 Feb 1885.  They are all buried at Lake Gage 
Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
   Hannah May Weicht, 26 Dec 1858 - 1939, buried at Circle Hill 
Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.
   Albert Francis Weicht (twin), 10 May 1862 - 11 Aug 1862, buried 
at Old Angola Cemetery.
   Alfred Franklin Weicht (twin), 10 May 1862 - 24 Aug 1862, buried 
at Old Angola Cemetery.

SIBLINGS:

   Frederika/Frederica S. (Weicht) Freygang Barr, about 1818 - 04 
Mar 1891, married 1st, Charles Julius Freygang, about 1803 - 07 Aug 
1868.  On 20 Oct 1869, she married her 2nd husband, James Barr, 01 
Nov 1793 - 16 Apr 1881.  They are all buried at Old Angola 
Cemetery.  James Barr's 1st wife was Elizabeth Thompson.
   Dr. Frederick Lewis H. Weicht, about 1819 - 21 Jan 1864, in 
1846, married Susan (McEntaffer) Dole St.Clair, 01 Jun 1827 - 02 
Apr 1902, daughter of David and Elizabeth McEntaffer.  Frederick 
and Susan are buried at Old Angola Cemetery.  On 01 Feb 1866, Susan 
married Joel M. Dole, 09 Nov 1825 - 09 Mar 1878.  He is buried at 
Hollister Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.  On 26/19 Jun 1890, 
she married John St.Clair who died 09 Mar 1898, burial place 
unknown.
   Louisa Weicht, about 18 Jan 1820 - 11 Oct 1897, buried at Old 
Angola Cemetery.
   Charles A. Weicht, about 1822 - 13 Feb 1874, buried at Old 
Angola Cemetery.
   Ernest C. Weicht, about 1828 - 21 Aug 1845, buried at Old Angola 
Cemetery.
   Leopold Edward Weicht, 06 Aug 1830 - 07 Feb 1896, on 10 Aug 
1952, married Catharine (Schaab) Weicht, 03 Aug 1832 - 25 Dec 1896.  
They are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, 
Indiana.  Leopold was the founder of Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, 
Steuben County, Indiana.
