STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 1904, page 4, dolumn 2 CHRISTIAN L. WEISS, 1828 - 04 Feb 1904 Christian L. Weiss, formerly of Steuben county, and brother of our townsman, Stephen Weiss, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. S. Gasser at Sherman, Wexford county, Mich., Feb. 4,1904. He was born in 1828 in Pennsylvania, being seventy-five years old. His home for many years was in Jackson, Michigan, where he was agent for a music house. He had five children, two in Florida, one in Minnesota, a daughter in Coldwater, and the youngest son, yet single, and a present sick in a hospital in Columbus. His wife has been dead about twenty five years. Mr. Weiss had been in feeble health about three months, but had kept up nearly all the time and had been siting in a chair only a short time before he passed away. Heart disease was the cause of his death. The remains were taken to Coldwater where they will be laid at rest. He worked in a marble shop in Angola with Charles Weicht some forty years ago. Weiss, 1799 - 1863, and Lydia (Stout) Weiss, 1807 - 13 Jun 1854 who are buried Dygert Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. Mary (Weiss) Barns/Barnes, on 08 Sep 1868 married Abel Morehouse Barns/Barnes, his 2nd wife. Burial place unknown. Eliza Ann (Weiss) Boyd, 03 Nov 1827 - 07 Jan 1902, on 24 Nov 1852, married Sanford Boyd, 1830 - 1891. Stephen A. Weiss/Wise, 27 Jan 1834 - 10 Jul 1906, on 31 Dec 1863, married Margaret C. (Gasser) Weiss/Wise, 1842 - 1913. They are buried at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana. Susan (Weiss) Barns/Barnes, 1836 - 12 Nov 1862, on 14 Aug 1856, married Abel Morehouse Barns/Barnes, his 1st wife. Susan is buried at Dygert Cemetery. Washington L. Weiss, 28 Nov 1837 - 10 Feb 1917, on 26 Jan 1866, married Susan L. (Folck) Weiss, 02 Sep 1844 - 23 Dec 1924. They are buried at Dygert Cemetery. Joseph Weiss, burial place unknown.
