MARTHA M. (NASH) WELCH, 28 Jan 1816 - 23 Dec 1890

   DIED in Angola, December 23, 1890, Mrs. Martha M. Welch, aged 74 years, 
10 months and 20 days.  (See Additonal Information)
   Deceased was born in Steuben county, N. Y., January 28, 1816.  She was 
married to Bela Welch, July 14, 1830, and they settled in Pittsford, 
Hillsdale county, Mich., in 1835.  Her husband died in 1856, leaving her 
with the care of eleven children, nine of whom are still living.  She 
united with the Baptist church early in life and continued firm in the 
faith until death.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 24, at 
1 o'clock, Rev. C. A. Gleason, of the Congregational church officiating.

                     ADMINISTRATOR'S APPOINTMENT
Notice is hereby given that the undersigned has been appointed and 
qualified administrator of the estate of Martha M. Welch, late of Steuben 
county, Indiana, deceased.  Said estate is probably solvent.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The date of birth and computed age in the obituary does not agree.  The 
date of birth would be 03 Feb 1816.  The date of birth in "My Part of the 
Philip Welch Family" by Joan Fleming, is 18 Jan 1816.  With the date of 
death, 23 Dec 1890, this computes to 74 years, 11 months and 5 days.

   Martha M. (Nash) Welch, 18 Jan 1816 - 23 Dec 1890, married Bela Welch, 
11 Feb 1786 - 06 May 1856.  Martha is buried at Old Angola Cemetery, 
Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.  Bela is buried in Ovoca N. Y., buried 
next to his step-mother, Orpha (Sweet) Welch.

   Dolly (Welch) Wilder, 08 Dec 1831 - 25 Dec 1901, married William Wilder 
who died 04 Oct 1888, aged 72 years, 11 months and 8 days.  They are 
buried at Old Angola Cemetery.
   Lydia Melissa (Welch) Moody, 03 Dec 1837 - 07 Oct 1930, married 
Benjamin J. Moody, 10 Feb 1834 - 1914.  They are buried at Circle Hill 
Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.
   Emma/Emeline L. (Welch) Kemery, 17 Jul 1845 - 16 Jan 1876, married John 
Absalom Kemery, 1832 - 1919, probably his 2nd wife.  John is buried at Old 
Angola Cemetery.  Emma is buried at Old Angola Cemetery next to her 
mother.
   John Welch, 05 Apr 1850 (1853 in Cemetery Book) - 28 Feb 1865, buried 
at Old Angola Cemetery.
