Wilder, aged 62 years, 8 months and 29 days. Ellen Eliza Shutts was born in Townsend township, Sandusky county, Ohio, Oct. 17, 1833. She was married to C. N. Wilder July 9, 1856, in Fremont, Ohio, and moved to Jamestown, Ind., Oct 2, 1858, where they went through the varied changes of pioneer life on a farm, and from the uncultivated land wrought out a pleasant and comfortable home. Four Children gathered around the hearthstone- Mira A., now Mrs. F. M. Brown; Laura Belle, who died in Fremont three years ago; little Charlie, whose life ended in his second year; and Nellie, now Mrs. Bert Sprague, who resides on the old homestead. For the last ten years the family have lived in Fremont, and for a year or two her health has been failing until on the morning of the 16th, she quietly passed away. Who knew her best, best knew her worth and they will hold her dear.
