STEUBEN REPUBLICAN, WEDNESDAY, 04 APER 1877, p.2, c.4 HENRY WILLARD, ab. 13 Sep 1812 - 31 Mar 1877 HAMILTON Mr. Henry Willard died at his residence, one mile east of this place, Saturday afternoon. Mr. Willard was one of the early settlers of this section of the county, and he had a large circle of friends. He was a man that attended strictly to his own affairs and was a kind and obliging neighbor. The relatives of the deceased have the sympathy of a large number of acquaintances. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Henry Willard, 13 Sep 1812 - 31 Mar 1877, married Mary (Sketchly) Willard, born about 15 Dec 1817 - died 01 Jan 1888 (aged 70 years and 17 days). They are buried at Hamilton Cemetery, Steuben County, IN., Sec. EO, Lot 221. There is one son listed in the cemetery book, Joseph Willard, died 18 Feb 1880, age 39 years, 3 months and 8 days. He is buried in his parent's lot at Hamilton Cemetery. He was the 2nd husband of Caroline (Rummel) Jackman Willard, 14 Sep 183 - 20 Feb 1920. Caroline first Married Henry Jackman. Caroline and Joseph had 2 children, Mary and Henry, 1879 - 03 Jul 1948. Henry is buried at Hamilton Cemetery. His mother, Caroline is buried at Hamilton Cemetery, Sec. EO, Lot 352.
