- At the residence of and by Israel Kemery J. P., February 28th, William Harbaugh and Miss Blanche Cole, both of Steuben County.

- James Blass, John Ralston, Sarah A. Hough, Mary Adaline Gale, Mary M. Dickman, Robert Jefferson McKinley, John Y. Burkhart, and Levi Mathews.

Jamestown - Mrs. Samuel Reed of Allegan, MI, who was called to Kinderhook by the death of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Gaillgan, spent a few days with friends in Jamestown.  Mrs. Samuel Snow was called to Fremont Sunday morning on the account of the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Hiller, being destroyed by fire.  We hear that Ed Yockey has taken a partner for life in the person of Miss Myrtle Bender.

Hamilton - Beecher - Daily wedding has been postponed indefinitely.  Mrs. Frank Sloan is home for a visit with her parents Eli Good and wife.  John Stout and wife attended the funeral of Mrs. Stout’s uncle, Mr. Munday at Fremont last week.  William Goudy died at his home after an illness of several weeks.

North Otsego - Mrs. Nancy Mortorff is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Mary Duncan and family, South of Hamilton.  Walter Vaughn of Pleasant Lake was a guest of Cass Smith and family, part of the week.

Gage - Mrs. M. Bowerman is spending a week with her granddaughter, Mrs. S. Van Wagner.

Nettle Lake - Mrs. Lillie Lindley of Coldwater came Saturday for a few days visit with her Mother, Mrs. Mary Walker.

Pleasant Lake - Born to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bennett, Sunday February 21, a son.  Mrs. Charlotte Woodworth spent Sunday with her daughter, Mrs. Cora Myers at Millersburg.  Mrs. Blanche Shoemaker of Kendallville is visiting her brother and family Eugene Shoemaker in Salem.

Orland - Bert Cleveland of Williams County, Ohio visited his daughter, Mrs. Greely Fox and family, South of town recently.  Fred Schneider and wife of Angola visited his father Christian Schneider a part of last week.  Mrs. S. S. Clark of Mendon, St Joseph Co, MI died Sunday, was buried here yesterday.  She was an old resident and one of the pioneers of Orland and was past 80 years old.  Efner Fillmore died at his home West of Orland February 24, age 34 years.  He was sick only a few days with pneumonia.  He was the son of Millard Fillmore.

Salem Center - Vinnie Ellithorpe and Guy Teeters were married at the home of the bride Sunday, February 21, 1904.  The funeral of Mrs. Getts was held last week. She was buried in Hudson.

Fremont - Mrs. C. W. Heitz is spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Morse at Nevada Mills.  Mrs. Vera Davis and Miss Millie Emerick of Chicago were called here by the death of their brother Jonathan Emerick.  Robert McCuin and Mrs. Belle Kirk were married at the home of the groom at 12 o’clock last Saturday, Feb. 27.  Mrs. Unice Dart of Coldwater who was well known here died Thursday morning. She was a sister of Mrs. Jacob Michael of this place and of Mrs. Chas. Chadwick of Angola.

Metz - Born to James Austin and wife, Thurs. Feb. 25, a son.  Mrs. M. Pettit died at her home in Metz Sunday, Feb. 28th.

Nevada Mills - Paul Bachelor has gone to Wabash to visit his brother Clyde and wife.  Mr. and Mrs. Will Dollimore of Coldwater Lake visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Parker last week.

Hudson - Mary E. Getts nee Deckman died at her home Northwest of Salem Center Feb. 22, 1904.  Emory Gonser died at his father’s home near Fairfield, Sunday of diphtheria.

Local and Personal - A marriage license was issued the past week to William Greenlee and Harriet Struble.  The home of Levi Mathews west of town has been sorely afflicted these recent days.  Mr. Mathews died on Friday and his wife and son Charles have been confined to the bed for several days.

24 Years Ago (1880) - Duff Van Etta and Miss Rose Keeler were married in Orland February 22.  J. G. W. Colburn will soon complete the “Life of Silas Doty.”  The book will sell for $1.00.  Mrs. Ezekiel Crain died at her home 3 miles West of Angola a few days ago, aged 76 years.  The marriage of Thomas L. Gillis and Miss Libbie Chase will take place this evening March 8th.  Mrs. Israel Fee died in Salem, February 22, aged 88 years.  The Colorado fever struck Steuben County and last Monday the following persons started for Leadville: James Tooley, Gid Finch, Ed Willis, William Bodley, George King, Charles De Witt, George Ousterhout, J. H. Woodford, Frank Wold, and Mark Crockett.  Born in Fremont Feb. 17th to Peter Hohn and wife, a daughter; in Nevada Mills Feb. 18th to J. E. Murry and wife, a daughter; in Fremont Feb. 18th to Morris Watters and wife, a daughter; in Fremont Feb. 20th to David Hutchins and wife, a baby; in Fremont Feb. 23 to Reuben Little and wife, a daughter; in Orland Feb. 28th to Lewis Clark and wife, twins.
