The Children of William H. and Mercy McLain Van Pelt


In the photo are the children of William H. and Mercy
N.(McLAIN) VAN PELT.  The photo was taken when their children were in their
later years.  I am only guessing, but I would estimate the photo was taken
between 1910 and 1920.  I do know it was taken prior to 1925.

Missing from the photo is Helen Viola VAN PELT.     





William H. VAN PELT was born, 1 Jun 1829 and died, 2 Mar 1881, Mercy N. McLAIN
was born October 1829 and died, 22 May 1900.  William and Mercy(McLain) Van
Pelt are buried in Block Cemetary, Salem Township, Steuben County.  The paternal
grandparents of these children were Samuel and Mary(MORROW) VAN PELT, buried
in Wright Cemetary, Salem Township, Steuben County and the maternal grandparents
were John and Eunice(NELSON) McLAIN, buried in Trinity Cemetary, Salem Township,
Steuben County.     Mercy Ellen(VAN PELT) KUNCE was my great grandmother.
