Jacob A. J. Anspaugh, son of John and Sarah Ann Anspaugh, was born in Florence Township, Williams Co., Ohio, April 24, 1850.  Jan. 1, 1873, he was united in marriage with Miss Sarah Allomong, daughter of the well-known citizen Joseph Allomong, and commenced housekeeping at his present residence on section 20, Richland Township.  His farm is under fine cultivation; his residence and building improvements are especially good.  Two bright children gladden their home – Clara E. and Lura.  Mr. Anspaugh is one of the young, energetic men of the township, who are rapidly coming to the front as the older ones are passing from the stage of active life.  In politics he is thoroughly Republican.  He is a member of Angola Lodge, No. 236, F. & A. M.,  and squares his life to the teachings of that order of which he is a worthy member.
