WALKERTON - Gene L. ''Diny'' Adams,
68, of 20102 3rd B Road, died at 7:55 p.m. Saturday in the
Veterans Administration Center in Indianapolis after a long
illness. Mr. Adams was born April 30, 1928 in North Liberty to
Leo and Sylvia (Lowry) Adams and lived in the area all of
his life.
On Nov. 20, 1949, in North Liberty, he
married Anna DePew. She survives with one son, William of
Koontz Lake; three grandsons, Nicholas Bert, Thomas Gene and
William Curtis, all of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Leora Brugh
of New Carlisle and Marge Paul of South Bend; and a
brother, Rudy Adams of Walkerton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of
the Korean War and a member of the North Liberty American Legion
and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Services will be at 11 a.m., EST, Tuesday in
Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Burial will be in the
East Lawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Friends may call from 2 to 4
p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., EST, Monday and 9 a.m. until services
Tuesday in the funeral home.
