SOUTH BEND - Jack F. Aftowski, 73, of
Orchard Drive, died of natural causes at 10:45 a.m. Thursday in
Saint Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Aftowski retired in 1978 as a
truck driver for Reaves & Sons Moving Co. He was born May 25,
1921, in South Bend and was a lifelong resident.
On April 27, 1946, in Michigan City, he
married Eunice Ford. She survives with four sisters,
Evelyn Garbacz, Virginia DeVreese, and Patricia Czarnecki,
all of South Bend, and Marie Smith of Riverside, Calif. A
son, Howard Dale Ford, died in 1987.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the
Kaniewski Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
