William O. Alexander

July 31, 1919 - March 29, 2010
OSCEOLA - William O. Alexander, 90, died March 29th. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rice Cemetery. There will also be a luncheon at the D.A.V. Elkhart Chapter, 1205 Middleton Run Road, Elkhart. Arrangements are by the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home and Crematory.

William O. Alexander

 July 31, 1919 - March 29, 2010
OSCEOLA - William O. Alexander, 90, of Osceola, died at 7:59 p.m. Monday (March 29, 2010) at Golden Living Center in Elkhart. He was born July 31, 1919, in Elkhart, to William and Mary Lena (Dolph) Alexander. He married Phyllis A. Nutting on June 18, 1944, in Elkhart. She survives along with a daughter, Jackie Matthews of Irons, MI; two sons, Ron Alexander of Osceola and Richard (Kathy) Alexander of Jimtown, IN. Also surviving are four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William O. Alexander Jr.; and two brothers, Roscoe and Devon Alexander. William retired from CTS Corp. where he was employed as a supervisor. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in W.W. II, a member of DAV Chapter #19 in Elkhart, member of the VFW, and a member of the Central Christian Church. Bill was a former member of the Moose Lodge. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place. Elkhart Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
