OSCEOLA - Betty Jean Allen, 85, of Osceola, passed away at 6:35 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009, in Hospice House of Elkhart. Betty was born on January 18, 1924, in Chicago, IL, to the late James B. and Margaret White. On April 6, 1957, she married Charles Allen. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles of Osceola; three daughters, Toni Aldridge and Toby Lebron, both of Mishawaka, and Debbie Hensley of Osceola; three sons, James Jordan of Ft. Wayne, Terry (Charmaine) Jordan of Portage, IN, and Larry (Cheryl) Carlysle of West Port, MA; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Jane (Wade) Sefton of Osceola. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by three brothers, John, James and Donald White. There will be a memorial at Willow Creek Methodist Church, 14010 E. Jefferson Road, on Saturday, Jan. 9th, at 2 p.m.

Betty was born on January 18, 1924, in Chicago, IL, to the late James B. and Margaret White. On April 6, 1957,, she married Charles Allen. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles of Osceola; three daughters, Toni Aldridge and Toby Lebron, both of Mishawaka, and Debbie Hensley of Osceola; three sons, James Jordan of Ft. She is also survived by one sister, Jane (Wade) Sefton of Osceola. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by three brothers, John, James and Donald White. Betty worked for Superior Piece Parts for 22 years before her retirement. She was a faithful member of Willow Creek Methodist Church of Mishawaka, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a Communion steward. She loved to camp and travel the country, and will be remembered for her love of playing cards, bunco and her love of photography. There will be no services. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Willow Creek Methodist Church, 14010 E.
