SOUTH BEND - Services for Lee ''Lightning'' Erskin Allen, 74, of 515 E. Monroe St., who died at 9:36 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness, will be at 6 p.m. Monday in Alford's Mortuary. Cremation will take place. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Mr. Allen had been a service-station attendant in Memphis, Tenn. He was born May 22, 1921, in Egypt, Miss. Surviving are five daughters, Ann Spearmint of Detroit, Johnni Toombs of Elkhart, and Mary Allen, Virgie Young and Ruby P. Young, all of South Bend; three sons, Robert of Wabash, Ind., and Erskin and Jerome, both of South Bend; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ollie M. Ollie of Detroit, Brady B. Edwards of Milwaukee and Sussie Weatherspoon of Benton Harbor.
