Marguerite Elizabeth Aller

MISHAWAKA, IN - Marguerite Elizabeth Aller, 91 years old, residing at the 100 Center Hi-Rise Apartments, Mishawaka, passed away at 8:47 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2002, at the St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, from natural causes. Mrs. Aller was born on October 15, 1910, in Converse, IN, to the late Wilbur and Minnie (Pfleuger) Powell. She has lived in the Mishawaka and South Bend area since 1923.

 

On March 25, 1929, in Mishawaka, she married Richard Aller, who preceded in death on February 8, 1982. One son, Robert Aller, also preceded in death on November 25, 1986. Five brothers and two sisters have also passed away. Mrs. Aller retired in 1952 from Uniroyal Corporation after 12 years of employment. She also was employed at Wyman's Department Store in South Bend. Mrs. Aller was a member of the Granger Missionary Church.

 

Mrs. Aller is survived by one daughter, Carol Hermsen of Chesterfield, VA; seven grandchildren, John Aller of Kennesaw, GA, Donna Kretchman of Niles, MI, Nancy Snow of Middleburg, FL, Paul R. Hermsen of Mechanicsville, VA, Carol Trail of Colonial Heights, VA, Robert Hermsen of Chesterfield, VA, and Kenny Hermsen of Chesterfield, VA; and eight great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at the Palmer Funeral Home, 1109 Lincoln Way West, Osceola. Rev. Bob L. Renner, pastor of Granger Missionary Church, will officiate. Private burial services will take place in St. John's Cemetery, Woodland, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Palmer Funeral Home, Osceola. Contributions in memory of Marguerite E. Aller may be donated to the charity of the donor's choice.
