Frank Alo

MISHAWAKA – Frank Alo, 79, of 322 W. 10th Street, died at 6 a.m. Sunday in his residence. He had been in ill health for five months and his death was attributed to complications. Mr. Alo was born April 22, 1890 in San Lucido, Italy and came to Mishawaka 47 years ago from that country. He was a retired employee of the Dodge Manufacturing Corp., Division of Reliance Electric Co.

 

He married Theresa Iemma in South Bend in 1923. She survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. Paul Marci of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

 

Friends may call in the DeVos Funeral Chapel from 7 to 9 today. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Rev. Stephen Cvaniga, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorials be made to the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation.

 

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the De Amecis Club.
