MISHAWAKA - Marie L. (Riege-Holt) Amato, 68, of Trenton, Mich., formerly of Mishawaka, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday in Riverside Osteopathic Hospital, Trenton. Mrs. Amato was a retired cook. She was born June 8, 1926, in Mishawaka. She is survived by two daughters, Sherriann McEnaney of Berryville, Ark., and Nina Sulis of Southgate, Mich.; two sons, Lawrence Amato of Marietta, Ga., and Nicholas Amato of Norman, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Copp of Robinson, Ill., Sharon Walters of Fair Oaks, Ind., Barbara Yaw of Mishawaka, and Virginia Shireman of Osceola; and three brothers, Bill Riege of Indiana, George Riege of Mishawaka, and Leo Riege of Dowagiac. A son, Dewaine Holt, died in 1993.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
