Gordon E. Anderson

April 28, 1919 - March 22, 1999

Gordon E. Anderson, 79, of 50167 West Lakeshore Drive, Magician Lake, Dowagiac, Mich., died at 12:05 p.m. on Monday, March 22, at the Borgess Medical Center.

Gordon Anderson was born to Louis and Helma Anderson on April 28, 1919, in Antioch, Ill. Mr. Anderson was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone as a staff supervisor.

He married Phyllis Wietbrock on April 14, 1945, in Crown Point, Ind. She survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Bettie Jones of South Bend, Ind.; and by a sister, Esther Maas of Chicago, Ill.

Gordon was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Johnson; and by a brother, Elmer Anderson.

Gordon was an Air Force veteran of World War II, a member of the Sister Lakes Lions Club, and the Silver Creek-Keeler United Methodist Church.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation at the Groner Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at the Silver Creek-Keeler United Methodist Church at a later date.
