James Anderson

Oct. 12, 1930 - Dec. 1, 2001

South Bend Tribune 12/6/2001

James Anderson, 71, passed away peacefully in his room at St. Paul's Retirement Community. He had lived there for the past 18 years. James was well-liked by everyone who knew him: the kind staff at St. Paul's and at Dr. Curry's, his fellow residents at St. Paul's, Dana and Kristin from Logan who took him on outings, and his advocate at Logan's Protective Service Board. James had a warm smile and extended his hand willingly for a shake to all his friends.

Prior to moving to St. Paul's, James suffered a three-day seizure that left him unable to speak or walk. His life before that time remains a mystery. He hasn't had any friends or family from that time to fill us in, and he can only answer our questions with a shake or nod of his head. If anyone knew James before 1983, please contact Matt Costello at Logan, 289-4831, or come to his memorial service at St. Paul's Chapel at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, so that we can in fellowship exchange stories of his earlier and later life. The Bubb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
