“Probe Started in Auto Death: Rites for South Bend Crash Victim Tuesday”

ELKHART, Ind. May 6 – Coroner Ray Bowman, of Elkhart, is conducting an inquiry today in the death of Henry John Andrysiak, aged 32, of 340 South Scott street, South Bend, who was killed Saturday night when his sedan collided with a truck driven by E. M. McCullough, 2602 Pleasant street, South Bend, and his assistant driver, Charles Winengar, 204 Irvington street, South Bend

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Hedwige’s Roman Catholic church with Rev. Francis X. Luzny, C.S.C., pastor, chanting the requiem high mass. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Polish cemetery

Dr. Bowman said today he had found no witnesses to the accident, which occurred west of Elkhart on U.S. 33 and would question the truck drivers today

Mr. Andrysiak was born in South Bend Sept. 3, 1907, and lived here all his life. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Andrysiak, at home; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Mott, of Elkhart, Ind., and two brothers, Leo and Eugene Andrysiak, both of South Bend. Friends will be received in the home.
