Clara Arelt

September 26, 1906March 26, 1955

 

Mrs. Clara Arelt, 506 S. Liberty Dr., died in Memorial Hospital at 10:10am Saturday after a sudden illness.

 

She was born in Manistee MI, September 26, 1906, and came here 33 years ago from that city.  She was married here in 1926 to Frank Arelt, who survives.  She also leaves five daughters, Mrs. Arthur Kalicki, Mrs. Floyd Smith and Mrs Henry Werwas, of South Bend; Esther and Irene, at home; two sons, Daniel and Edwin, South Bend; four sisters, Mrs. Vincent Jelinski, Mrs. George Mantyek and Mrs. Frank Nejman, of South Bend, and Mrs. Francis Rickard of Flint MI, and a brother, Joseph Patulski of Manistee.

 

Friends may call after 6:30pm Tuesday in St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church.  Right Rev. Msgr. Ignatius Gapczynski, pastor, will sing the Mass.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Frank Nejman Jr, Thad, Stephen and Erwin Arelt, Richard and Floyd Jelinski.  She was a member of the God and Country Society of St Adalbert’s parish.

Funeral Notes

Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Arelt, 506 S Liberty St., who died Saturday, will be held at 9am Tuesday in St Adalbert’s Catholic Church.  Very Rev. Msgr. Ignatius J. Gapczynski, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph Polish Cemetery.

 

Friends may call in the St Joseph Funeral Chapel until the hour of the funeral.  The name of one of her daughters was incorrectly given as Miss Irene.  The name is Eilene. Also surviving are three grandchildren.
