Garland L. Armstrong

Mr. Garland L. Armstrong, 67, residing on South 35th Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 6:32 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. Mr. Armstrong was born on Oct. 20, 1930, in Cookville, Tenn., to the late Willard and Either (Anderson) Armstrong, and had lived in this area most of his life, coming from Tennessee.

 

In 1987, in South Bend, he married Dorothy Langel, who survives. He is also survived by a stepdaughter, Mrs. Chuck (Peggy) Buckley of Elkhart, Ind.; and by a stepson, Steve Temple of Mishawaka, Ind.

 

Mr. Armstrong retired from Wee Shape Frame in Elkhart where he served as a welder. He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

 

Memorial services for Mr. Armstrong will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. There will be no visitation. Mrs. Armstrong requests no flowers, but would request your prayers.
