MISHAWAKA - Ronald W. Armstrong, 78, passed away at 8:07 a.m. Monday in his home. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie; six children, Sharon Burns of New Carlisle, Barbara Pinion of El Paso, TX, Lonnie Armstrong of South Bend, Nancy Enders of North Liberty, Anna Gill of Mishawaka and Daniel Armstrong of Live Oak, TX. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23rd, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24th, in the funeral home, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

MISHAWAKA - Ronald W. Armstrong, 78, of Mishawaka, passed away at 8:07 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2009, in his home. Ron was born on July 7, 1931, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Paul R. and Maxine (Wagner) Armstrong. On July 1, 1950, in St. Monica Catholic Church, he married Margie Kedik. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie of Mishawaka; six children, Sharon Burns of New Carlisle, IN, Barbara (Joseph) Pinion of El Paso, TX, Lonnie (Gail) Armstrong of South Bend, IN, Nancy (Daniel) Enders of North Liberty, IN, Anna (Stephen) Gill of Mishawaka, IN, and Daniel (Robyn) Armstrong of Live Oak, TX. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, David Michael Armstrong, and a sister, Patricia Bowman. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army before becoming honorably discharged in 1951. He was a lifetime member of the NRA as well as a member of the Brothers of the Wind and the American Legion. Ron was a ham radio operator with the handle of "Bald Eagle." Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 24, in the funeral home, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
