SOUTH BEND - Marjorie B. Badger, 90, of Wilder Drive, South Bend, Ind., died early Tuesday, April 6, 1999 in her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Badger was born on September 4, 1908 in Peru, Ind. to Clarence and Bessie (Seward) LaMar who preceded her in death. Also preceding her were her two sisters, Agnes Nihlean in 1987, Jeanette LaMar who died in March 1999 and her brother, Paul M. LaMar who died in 1960.

 

Coming from Kokomo, Ind. in 1927 as the former Marjorie Blanche LaMar she married Harry T. Badger who died in 1959. She is survived by her two sons, Jack G. (Ila) Badger of Carmel, Ind. and Robert E. (Liliane) Badger of Fairfax, Virginia. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Badger retired after many years as a clerk with the J.C. Penney Company. She was a faithful member of the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church and was active in the Evangel Heights Women's Organization.

 

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 South Ironwood Drive, South Bend. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 9, 1999 in the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, where friends may call one hour before services. Rev. Edward Fritz will officiate. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Badger to the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, 114 North Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN 46615.
