William G. Bailey

William ''Bill'' Bailey, 43, of Generations Drive, South Bend, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Bailey is survived by two sisters: Mary Lou Yoder of Mishawaka, Ind. and Marie Minutello, of Chicago, Ill.; 3 brothers: James Bailey of Elkhart, Ind., Thomas Bailey of Mishawaka, and Myron Bailey of Chicago, Ill; and by his friend Stacy Draves. His parents, Mary Jane and Glen, preceded him in death.

 

Mr. Bailey volunteered for LOGAN Community Connections program and was a participant in St. Joseph County Special Olympics. Mr. Bailey was also president of People First and was a member of the LOGAN Consumer Advisory Committee. Bill was a staunch advocate for persons with physical and mental disabilities. He will be greatly missed by his LOGAN and Dungarvin friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Basilica of the Sacred Heart where friends may call one hour prior to services. Cremation will take place and burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to LOGAN Protective Services, P. O. Box 1049, South Bend, IN 46624.
