Charles A. Baker

MISHAWAKA - Charles A. Baker, 36, of 815 W. Grove St., was found dead Monday in All-Seasons Storage, Goshen. Elkhart County Coroner Jeanette Albert ruled the death a suicide. Mr. Baker was born Dec. 18, 1957, in Barberton, Ohio, and lived in the area for 20 years, coming from Ohio. He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth M. Baker of Elkhart; a son, Charles A. of Elkhart; his parents, Marie Shomin of Elkhart and Charles Baker of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Carmlene Baker of Barberton; four brothers, Patrick Shomin of Middlebury, Junior Baker of Barberton, Bradley Baker of Elkhart, and Garland Baker of Mishawaka; and a grandmother, Ellen ''Al'' Battest of Michigan.

 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the mausoleum of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
