Elmer Lester Baker

June 22, 1893 – June 23, 1974

Elmer Lester Baker , 81,of Kentland, died at 9:20am Sunday in the George Ade Memorial Hospital, Brook IN.

Born June 22, 1893, in Roseland, near South Bend; he lived there until 12 years ago when he moved to Kentland.  In 1940, he married Mary Jane Goff, who died in 1962.  He was a retired truck driver with Hupp Lumber Co

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Viola Peart of Beecher IL and Mrs. Bessie Dennis of Steger IL and a brother, Fred Baker of Rensselaer.

Friends may call after 2pm today in the Todd Funeral Home, DeMotte, where services will be at 2pm Wednesday, with Rev. Hosea Drake, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the Roseland Cemetery, Roseland.
