Helen Catherine Baker

MISHAWAKA - Helen Catherine Baker, 94, of Fountainview Place, formerly of Forest Park Boulevard, Fort Wayne, died at 10:20 p.m. Friday at the nursing home. Mrs. Baker was born Nov. 5, 1900, in Fort Wayne, living in Mishawaka since 1982, coming from Boca Raton, Fla., and Fort Wayne.

 

She first married John P. Foohey. He died Dec. 6, 1940. On April 22, 1942, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., she married Leon J. Baker. He died April 4, 1982. Surviving are a son, Terrence P. Fahey of Boca Raton; a stepdaughter, Ruth Livingston of Vero Beach Fla.; two stepsons, John Baker of Naples, Fla., and Joseph Baker of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren; seven great-granchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Dorothy Rissing of Fort Wayne. A son, John Paul Fahey, died in 1970. She was a member of Marians of Fort Wayne and St. Matthew's Cathedral.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Jude's Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery Association, Fort Wayne. Friends may call one hour before services Tuesday in the church. Hickey Funeral Home, South Bend, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Brothers of Fort Wayne, the church, Christ Child Society or any charity.
