Julius B. Balcerzak

January 7, 1888 – May 24, 1984

Julius B. Balcerzak, 96, of the Carlyle Nursing Home, died at 8:27am today in the nursing home.

He was born January 7, 1888, in Poland.  On June 15, 1915, in Terre Coupee, he married Anna J. Piechorowski.  She preceded him in death on April 18, 1980. 

Surviving are two daughters, Alice Zimmerer of Louisville KY, and Irene Henderson of South Bend; a son, Stanley of South Bend; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Friday in the St Joseph Funeral Home.

Funeral Notes

Services for Julius B. Balcerzak, 96, of the Carlyle Nursing Home, who died Thursday in the nursing home, will be at 10am Saturday in St Adalbert’s Catholic Church.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call until 9pm today in the St Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30pm today. 

He was retired from the former Studebaker Corp. and was a member of the St Florian Society.  Among his survivors are seven great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund.
