SOUTH BEND - Dorothy Balestri, 81, of Hamilton Grove Retirement Community, LaPorte, formerly of South Bend, died at 6:56 a.m. Friday in the retirement home.
Mrs. Balestri was born Aug. 7, 1914, in St. Joseph County, Ind. She married Bruno Balestri, who died Dec. 5, 1980. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Vivian Benjamin of Mishawaka; a stepson, Gerald L. Balestri of Mishawaka; and two sisters, Edna Stroup of South Bend and Nina Boyles of New Carlisle.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the retirement home.
