Helen E. Balint

July 12, 1919 - April 19, 2001

Helen E. Balint, 81 of Joan Ave., Mishawaka, passed away a 3:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Community Hospital, after an illness. Helen was born on July 12, 1919, in Gary, IN. She retired in 1983 from House of Fabrics after 12 years of service, and was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

 

On November 15, 1943, in South Bend, Helen E. Komorowski married John S. Balint, he passed away on May 14, 1982. Surviving are three daughters; Carol Hoke of South Bend, Alice Sheets, of Mishawaka, Patricia Roth, of Osceola; two sons, John Balint Jr. of South Bend, Phillip Balint of Niles, MI.; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters; Lillian Price, of Paw Paw, Mi., Irene Seluaggi, of Clearwater, Fla., Dorothy Settle, of Gary, In., Connie Medved of Gary, In., and one brother, Alex Komorowski of Gary, In. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Teofil and Agnas Komorowski, and three sisters; Sophie Zahorek, Ann James, and Hedwig Price.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, In. Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, In.
