Donnabelle Banacki

June 2, 1926 - Aug. 29, 2000

Donnabelle Banacki, 74, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, in the Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, due to complications of Alzheimer's disease.

Donna was born on June 2, 1926, to Carl W. and Elsie Marie (Radtke) Wiley, both of whom preceded her in death. On Aug. 14, 1945, she married Sylvester J. Banacki, who preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter.

She is survived by five daughters, Sharon (Ronald) Eberhard of Mishawaka, Ind., Donna (Don) Bessler of North Liberty, Ind., Lois Banacki of Osceola, Ind., Carolyn (Max) Ochs of Plymouth, Ind., and Debra (Craig) Parmlee of South Bend, Ind.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Wegenka of South Bend and Sharon Blackmond of Dowagiac, Mich.; three brothers, Carl Wiley of Texas, Eugene Wiley of Walkerton, Ind., and Richard Wiley of Indianapolis, Ind.

Donna was a member of Community Baptist Church.

Services will be at 7:30 p.m. today, Aug. 30, in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Loren Clemenz of the Mishawaka First United Methodist Church will officiate. Friends may call from 5:30 p.m. until the time of services today, Aug. 30, in the Guisinger Funeral Home.

Cremation will then take place, followed by burial at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
