Frank L. Banicki: (South Bend Tribune 2/6/1959)

Frank L. Banicki, 816 S. Pulaski St., died at 1:50 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of five months. He was born in South Bend, August 12, 1896, and had lived here all his life. His wife, Bernice, died in 1933. Mr. Banicki was employed at the Studebaker-Packard Corp. for 34 years. Surviving are two sons, Irvin and Eugene, both of South Bend and three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Carlson and Mrs. Theresa Swartz both of South Bend, and Mrs. Janine Squadroni of Mishawaka, In.; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph and Casimer, and a sister, Mrs. Blanche DeRuycki, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday in the Kaniewski and Son Chapel. Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Casimir’s Church with Rev. Bernard M. Niemier, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. The burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Banicki was a veteran of WWI, a charter member of Post 357 American Legion and a member of Studebaker Local 5, UAW.
