Samuel R. Barger

April 24, 1925October 31, 1989

 

Samuel R. Barger, 64, of 27th Street, died at 1:03pm Tuesday in Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Barger was employed by Contrail for 24 years. 

 

He was born April 24, 1925, in Bucyrus OH and lived in South Bend for 30 years, having come from Argos.  On November 9, 1952, in Flint MI, he married Juanita Eaglen, who survives.  Also surviving are two daughter, Pamela M. Thompson of Plymouth, and Donna L. Tucker of Anderson IN; a son, Steven M. of Lakeville; six grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Moser of Indiana PA, and Lois Teets of GA; and a brother, George of Bucyrus.  He was a veteran of WW II and member of American Legion Post 777, Indianapolis.

 

Services will be at 1:30pm Friday in Hahn-DeVos Funeral Home, Mishawaka.  Private burial will be at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association.
