SOUTH BEND - Marie B. Barkley, 95, of South Twyckenham Drive, died at 6:20 p.m. Friday in Medco Center. Mrs. Barkley was employed at the former Ball Band Co. and Wilson Brothers Department Store.

She was born Aug. 28, 1898, in Tiosa, and lived most of her life in South Bend. As Marie Cooley, she married Claude Barkley. He preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Marcella Rea of South Bend; a son, Robert Cooley of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Marguerite Towe of Daytona, Fla. A son, Harold Cooley, preceded her in death. She was a member of Howard Park Senior Citizens Club.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation. (nf)
