John Barna, 1217 S. Main St., died at 1 p.m. Saturday in his residence after

being ill two weeks.  He was born in Yugoslavia June 12, 1888, and came to

Mishawaka 47 years ago from there.  On Jan. 28, 1913, in South Bend he married

Miss Catherine Major, who survives along with two brothers in Yugoslavia. 

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, South Bend. 

Mr. Barna was a member of the William Penn Assn. of South Bend.

BARNA – Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph’s

Catholic Church for John Barna, 1217 S. Main St., who died Saturday.  Very Rev.

Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairview

Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Milton Hostetter, Ronald Schrader, Andrew Sloboda,

John Klabusich, Peter Horvath and Illes Szabo.  Mr. Barna has retired as an

employee of the Wheelabrator Corp.
