William F. Barnard

April 27, 1885March 17, 1915

 

William F. Barnard, aged 29 years, died this morning at 10:15 o’clock after an illness of about a year.  He was the son of Mr & Mrs. William T. Barnard, 832 North Main Street.  Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Edna Vorhees of Portland OR.

 

The deceased was born in South Bend, April 27, 1885.  He was an attorney and was educated in the public schools of South Bend and the University of Michigan.  He was graduated from high school in 1904 and from Michigan in 1908.

 

Mr. Barnard was a member of the Accaela fraternity, of South Bend Lodge No 294, F. & A. M. and South Bend Chapter No 2, Order of Eastern Star.

 

Funeral arrangements have not been completed but services will probably be held Saturday afternoon under Masonic auspices, the young man having been one of the most prominent and active members in the South Bend fraternity.

Funeral Notes

Funeral services for William F. Barnard were held at 2 o’clock this afternoon from the residence of his parents, Mr & Mrs. William T. Barnard, 822 North Main Street, South Bend Lodge, No. 294, F. & A. M., of which the deceased was a member had charge of the services which were in conformity to the Masonic ritual, Past Master Stuart MacKibben delivering the address at the grave in Riverview Cemetery and Rev. C. A. Decker at the residence.
