Joann S. Barone, 78, of Elder Road, Mishawaka, passed away in her home on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005.
Joann was born on Sept. 9, 1927, in South Bend, to Stanley and Stella (Koper) Wenderski.
On April 18, 1947, in South Bend, as the former Joann Wenderski, she married Philip Barone, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Nicolette Barone of South Bend; two sons, Gary of Mishawaka and Bruce (Kris) of Syracuse, IN; two grandchildren, Amy (Mark) Mazurek and Christopher (Jessica) Pawlowski; and two great-grandchildren, Nicolette and Jackson.
At Joann's request, there will be no visitation and no services for Joann.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
The Hahn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
