Harry J. Barrette, 57, died at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, at home in South Bend, Ind.

He was born on Sept. 17, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., to Harry and Evelyn (O'Connor) Maginnis, and had lived in the South Bend area since 1976. He was the owner of Cerilean Products, Inc., from 1976 to 1993, and had been in sales since then in Chicago.

 

He is survived by two daughters, Nicolle of South Bend and Kristin of Blissfield, Mich.; three sons, Craig and Todd, both of Chicago, and Grant of Boulder, Colo.; a granddaughter, Elizabeth of South Bend; a brother, John (Rita) Barrette of San Clemente, Calif.; and by three sisters, Marilyn (Marvin) Gryzelak of Zionsville, Ind., Carolyn (Gilbert) Johnson of Bensenville, Ill., and Jacquelyn Williams of Gulf Shores, Ala.

 

He served in the United States Marine Corps.

 

Friends called from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at the McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road, South Bend. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 805 S. 29th Street, South Bend. Contributions in memory of Mr. Harry Barrette may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
