SOUTH BEND - Rose M. Battisti, 70, of Southlea Drive, died at 1:40 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Battisti retired from 1st Source Bank. She was born Feb. 10, 1926, in Point Marion, Pa., and lived in South Bend for 40 years.
On Aug. 30, 1952, in Morgantown, W.Va., as Rose Barone, she married Joseph S. Battisti. He survives with three daughters, Louise Corban of Michigan City, and Josephine Michalski and Mary Rininger, both of South Bend; two sons, Tony of Findlay, Ohio, and John of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elma Hare of West Virginia, Sue Kearney of Ventura, Calif., and Mary Vernon of Butler, Pa.; and three brothers, Ray Barone of Point Marion, Nick Barone of Pennsylvania and Jim Barone of Ohio.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
