SOUTH BEND -- Geraldine "Gerry" Battles, 70, formerly of South Bend, IN, died on March 15, 2007, in Auburn, Washington, of complications from diabetes. Gerry was born November 13, 1936, in South Bend, and graduated from John Adams High School. She also attended Indiana University.

She married Millard Battles in 1958 in South Bend. Survivors include her husband, Millard; sons, Bud (Jan) Battles, John (Chellie) Battles, Bob (Shannon) Battles and Jim (Monica) Battles; a daughter, Ruth (Duane) Rhodes; and 11 grandchildren.
